The Next President Inherits a Remarkable Economy

Couldn't agree with Ben Wexler more here. (Imagine what Barack Obama could have accomplished if he hadn't had to dig us out of the Great Recession?) If you still use the erstwhile Twitter, you can follow him HERE
Yesterday I realized this is the 10th time I've voted for president, but the first time I've voted early. (On Wednesday I got so restless I felt like I had to do SOMETHING so headed over to the Museum of Natural History to cast my vote -- and then ended up going as an "early voter" for Halloween!)
Worth noting that since I voted for Dukakis in 1988, a grand total of one Republican has won the popular vote in a presidential election -- and even that one (George W. Bush in 2004) has an asterisk because he had the advantage of being the incumbent, a position he obtained not getting the most votes in 2000.
All of this is to say we wouldn't even be worried about Tuesday if we abandoned this system set up to accommodate slave-owning states.
