I so hear what Tracy is saying here. Although I'm lucky to have as many childhood photos as I do, there is a huge chunk of my young adulthood that was largely undocumented -- most notably my years in West Hollywood. It would nice if that were different. But still I don't think I would trade my having lived "in the moment" for today's extreme -- where people literally don't watch live concerts with their eyes anymore, opting instead to do it through their smartphones.
