We need to talk about Mango

My friend Leah ran into Chris Kattan at the Morrissey on Broadway show Friday and told him what a huge fan she'd been of his. (Mr. Peepers was her favorite!) 

 Kattan is in the news again because of his just-released memoir,  "Baby, Don't Hurt Me; Stories and Scars From 'Saturday Night Live,' in which he writes that he broke his neck during a sketch on the late-night show and that NBC didn't properly take care of him -- a claim that hasn't exactly been backed up by people who have been interviewed. (In fairness both things could be true: It sounds like he wasn't honest about the struggles he was having, so the producers might not have known they weren't helping.) 

It got me thinking about Mango --a character Damian had never heard of -- and watching old clips online. I still think he's the weirdest thing ever -- and funny, in a very uncomfortable way. (Would there be a Stefon without Mango?) But what would the Woke Brigade have to say about him now -- and some of the things J Lo says to him here?!!!!
