NYDN: Florida man arrested for ‘obscene’ sticker on truck’s window

A 23-year-old Florida man was arrested for displaying a sticker that declared “I eat ass” on his Chevrolet truck and he’s claiming his First Amendment rights were violated.

Dillon Shane Webb now faces first-degree misdemeanor charges of possession of obscene material and resisting arrest, according to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office.

After pulling over Webb, the arresting deputy claimed the sticker violated a Florida law against possessing and distributing obscene material.

The deputy asked Webb how “a parent of a small child would explain the meaning of the words,” and Webb replied that it was “up to the parent” what to tell such an inquisitive child, the report states.

The prudish police officer took a picture of the sticker for evidence and gave Webb a notice to appear in court later in May.

After Webb refused the deputy’s request to alter the sticker to remove to ‘obscene’ material, citing his First Amendment rights, he was tossed in jail. (Via NYDN)
