View this post on Instagram THIS DOES NOT VIOLATE YOUR TERMS OF AGREEMENT @instagram. Once again, a post of mine was deleted. I’m reposting. In protest. The guidelines point out : EXCEPT IN CASES OF SEXUAL HEALTH CONTEXT. comment why it should stay up — Let’s break somethings down for a minute. I talk big game about polyamory and queer identity, but this year I haven’t had the time to properly explore secondary or tertiary relationships outside of my marriage in meaningful ways. In fact, the majority of my sexual expression exists via self pleasure. Masturbation is a healthy, personally intimate sexual activity. It has many benefits for your physical and mental health. It’s a natural and safe way to explore your body, fantasy, feel pleasure, and release built-up sexual tension. In short, I am my own lover. We are all lovers. The word Lovers is expansive and universal. A Lover is not only someone who shows affection to others, but can also be anyone practicing self-love. A Lover’s partner can be someone they’re in a committed relationship with, someone they are casual with, or anywhere in between. A Lover goes beyond describing relationships and people, and can also be a favorite toy or product. Lovers is a name for all seeking, receiving and giving sexual pleasure. Each individual has a right to sexual pleasure and autonomy defined by their own expression. Everyone, regardless of race, gender identification, sexual orientation or socio-economic status deserves to reach their greatest pleasure potential. Did you know that sex was recently added to Maslow's Heirarchy of Needs, along with other basic human needs like food and water? I'm partnering with @loversstores to help educate my community on the importance of sexual wellness in our overall health. For far too long, we've existed in a space that has stiffled and shamed our basic human need for sex and intimacy. Engaging in healthy sexual practices can boost your immune system lessen pain, decrease your risk of cancer, lower your blood pressure and more. With Lover's, we are building a community that is welcoming, empowering, inclusive and informative - place that promotes open conversation about sex. WE. ARE. LOVERS. #WeAreLovers A post shared by nicotortorella (@nicotortorella) on Dec 5, 2018 at 6:22pm PST
