Page Six reports that Mario Lopez spent Independence Day in the emergency room after tearing his achilles tendon while sparring.

“So frustrated,” he wrote on social media alongside a photo of himself at Burbank, California’s Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center. “No boxing or jiujitsu for a while. Maybe God’s telling me to slow down…”

Looking on the bright side, he added, “Bout to get hooked up with some good pain meds tho.”

Lopez ended the post with a list of hashtags including #Surgerycomingup.

Later in the day on Wednesday, the “Extra” host posted a snap of himself lounging by the pool in a cast holding a cigar and a Boomerang video shot of himself hobbling on crutches.

His rep did not immediately return a request for comment.
