Back to the Old House (UPDATE)

If you read THIS POST from earlier then you will get a kick out of this. I ended up writing to the real estate agent who is in the midst of selling my childhood home and this is the response I got: Dear Kenneth, Good morning, It is funny that you would find your old home up for sale when you are in New York! As you can see, there are a few changes (tile, carpet, etc.) since you lived there. For the most part, the floor plan remains the same! The owners are the ones that bought from your parents 18 years ago. They've both retired and moved into Leisure World. The neighborhood has changed. There are only a couple of original owners left on Kiva. They just had their annual block party last Saturday. I'm sure there were lots of new faces this time. Time does fly by! I hope your memories were good ones in this house. BTW, these owners are my parents. I never lived in the house, but my kids learned to swim in the pool and became very brave going down that tall slide! And the loft was a great hiding/spy place. Have a great Monday. Thanks for writing, Martha

UPDATE FROM 2021: Look how the model of our house was given a makeover!

My brother Bill lived for home-renovation shows and how I wish he were here so we could marvel at this together! xo
