Wrestle Wednesday
Iowa high school wrestler Kaiden Parker was arrested and charged with third-degree sexual abuse following allegations of forcing a woman into sexual intercourse by yanking her hair so violently he pulled chunks out if it, according to police.
The victim reportedly sustained visible scalp injuries, and Parker, who was 18, was released from Mahaska County Jail after posting a $10,000 bond.
The Oskaloosa School District noted the incident did not occur on campus and that Parker had not attended in-person classes for approximately a year.
A two-time state medalist, Parker's athletic achievements, including a fourth-place finish at the 2025 state tournament, have been overshadowed by these charges.
Media reporting remains limited to the details of the initial criminal complaint and the school district's response. Because he was 18 at the time of the offense, the case is handled in adult criminal court, but future updates regarding trial dates, plea agreements, or sentencing details have not yet been made public by the Mahaska County Attorney's Office.
