John Waters Turns 80!

With the recent "natural" deaths of several people around my age, it really makes you appreciate that icons like John Waters are still alive and well. How fun to see Debbie Harry and Ricki Lake on hand to help mark this milestone birthday. Both starred in the Pope of Trash's 1988 film, "Hairspray," which brought me so much joy when I went to see it with my friends Greg and Debra on my 21st birthday so many years ago.
