Two Oklahoma parents were arrested after police said they left three young children home alone while they went to play pickleball about 20 minutes away.
Glenpool police responded to a home on Aug. 30 following a 911 hang-up call and found three children, ages 8, 5 and 1, without adult supervision. The two older children were watching television, while the 1-year-old was asleep.
Investigators said the parents, Andrew Dick -- huh-huh -- and Feather Roberts(!), were playing pickleball at Courts and Commons in nearby Bixby. They returned home while officers were investigating.
When police asked how the children could reach them in an emergency, Roberts said they had left an iPad the children could use to call.
Police said the couple had arranged childcare for a fourth child, an infant, but left the other three children at home.
During separate interviews, Dick and Roberts allegedly acknowledged that this was not the first time they had left the children without adult supervision.
Dick and Roberts were each arrested on three counts of child neglect.
Police said the children were safe and in good health, and the Oklahoma Department of Human Services was notified.
No word on what Mr. Dick was wearing at the time of his arrest. (Via KRC)
