Penthouse model’s fiancé -- and her “Big Nick” porn past -- collide in fatal crash fallout
The Penthouse model now engaged to billionaire Stephen Cloobeck -- a major backer of Eric Swalwell -- was previously married to an adult film performer involved in a fatal crash, according to court records.
Adva Lavie, who also uses the alias Mia Ventura, was married to Edan Ives, known in the adult entertainment world as “Big Nick” (aka Nick Strokes).
In October 2022, Ives was driving a Honda Civic in Encino, California, when he made an unsafe right turn into the path of a motorcyclist, Manoochehr Namdar, according to a lawsuit. Namdar sustained severe injuries and later died.
Ives was arrested in June 2023 and charged with vehicular manslaughter. He was sentenced to 20 days in Los Angeles County jail and placed on probation for one year. A civil lawsuit filed by the victim’s son, citing emotional distress and loss of earning capacity, was later settled in April 2024.
Lavie had previously promoted Ives’s OnlyFans account on social media. The timeline of their marriage is unclear, but a joint petition for divorce was filed on March 3 in Clark County, Nevada.
Her engagement to Cloobeck followed a Valentine’s Day proposal at a charity event in Las Vegas. Cloobeck, a timeshare executive, has donated more than $1 million in support of Swalwell and funded travel for the California lawmaker.
Separately, prosecutors allege that between 2023 and 2025, Lavie used dating apps to cultivate relationships with targets across Los Angeles County. She faces six felony charges, including grand theft, burglary and unauthorized use of personal identifying information, and has pleaded not guilty.
The case adds a further layer of scrutiny to a relationship already intersecting with politics, wealth and legal controversy.
